Chocolate 1


If you are looking for a great way to end you Christmas meal, look no further, this is it. These Chocolate Cups filled with Caramel included in my Merry Healthy Christmas recipe collection are too die for and super healthy. Using only non processed ingredients and natural sugar, they will put the perfect final touch to any festive meal and I assure you, they will impress your guests.

They are not very time consuming and use only a few ingredients. Give them a try!

Ingredients for the chocolate:

– 1/3 cup of coconut oil

– 2/3 cup of raw cacao powder

– 1 tablespoon of maple syrup

– 1 pinch of salt

Ingredients for the caramel:

– 1 cup of coconut milk

– 3 tablespoons of maple syrup

– 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder

– 1 pinch of salt

– 2 tablespoons of chopped hazelnuts


Chocolate 2


To make the chocolate melt the coconut oil in a non-sticking saucepan at low heat. Once melted add the cacao and the maple syrup and stir to mix well.

Prepare a muffin tray with paper forms. Add 2-3 teaspoons of chocolate in each from and place in the fridge. In the meantime prepare the caramel.

To make the caramel place all the ingredients in a non-sticking saucepan at medium heat. Bring to a boil while stirring with a wood spoon. Keep stirring until the caramel thickens and turns light brown color.

Add 2 teaspoons of caramel to each form and chill in the fridge for 5 minutes.

Add the rest of the chocolate to the forms. Sprinkle some chopped hazelnuts on top of each form and put back in the fridge until serving.

Makes 8 chocolate cups.
