Foodlosophy's muesli 3

I am not really a morning person. Getting me out of bed, specially when is cold outside (yes, it gets cold in Lisbon) requires some serious motivation a.k.a. delicious breakfast. Muesli is a great breakfast alternative, as good as its cousin, granola.
It took me a while to come up with a recipe that  could be tasty but not loaded with sugar, gluten-free, filling and appeling enough to make me jump out of bed and not press the snooze button endlessly.
It came up full of the flavours and smells I crave during the fall: nuts, apples, cranberries, cinnamon…

  • 2 cups of millet puff
  • 1 cup of oat flakes
  • 1 cup of quinoa flakes
  • 1 cup of dried apple bits
  • 1 cup of dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup of chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup of hemp seeds
  • 1 pinch of Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until every ingredient is distributed in the mix. Store in an airtight container or a glass jar.
Serve with almond milk, coconut yogurt or sprinkle over your favourite green smoothie.
