Yay! Spring is here! Well, not this weekend… but anyway, sunny weather or not, flowers are popping in every corner and pollen making plants have started to bloom. If you have started sneezing, notice your eyes watery and itchy and your nose is runny there is a chance that you are not dealing with a cold but with a case of pollen allergy.
I have come up with a delicious smoothie to help you fight these unwanted spring side effects so you can just enjoy smelling the roses.
It is packed with ingredients that can help you reduce the allergic reaction like flaxseeds for the omega-3, citrus fruits for the vitamin C, cashews for the magnesium and turmeric for its anti-inflamatory properties.
THE ALLERGY FIGHTING SMOOTHIE
– Juice of 5 carrots
– Juice of 1 lemon
– Juice of 1 small piece of ginger
– Juice of 1 small piece of turmeric
– 1 banana
– 1 orange
– 1 kiwi
– 1 Tbsp of bee pollen
– 1 Tbsp of flaxseeds
– 1/2 tsp of turmeric
– 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
– 1 Tbsp of honey
Put all the ingredients in the blender and process for 1 minute.
